As a child growing up in Washington State, I was blessed to be able to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors while hiking, hunting or fishing with my father and grandfather.
During the 1970's, while on the high school newspaper and annual staffs, I was introduced to photography as an art form. I began as a photographer and progressed from there into the darkroom and finally on to editing. After taking a few years off to raise a family, I returned to photography in 1995.
The photographs on this site were taken in many locations, from as close as my own back yard to as far away as Belize and Moscow. Witnessing the sun breaking over the mountains or setting over the ocean is truly a miracle to see and one that I try to share through my images.
I have chosen to use Canon equipment although I believe it is not so much the equipment but the vision of the photographer.
I make my home in Lynnwood, Washington with my wife, Sandy. We have a daughter, 2 grown sons and 3 grandchildren.
